Description

• Conduct technical analysis, design solutions, schedule estimates, develop solutions, test new and existing code, deploy and maintain code base to meet changing business objectives
• Develop applications (Web and Client) in a variety technologies but focusing on PHP, JavaScript.
• Design, implement and maintain automated unit tests and contribute to regression testing.
• Document existing system and provide technical support.
• Enhance software development procedures and introduce best practices to team members.
• Proactively research web and industry trends.
• Present and apply new technologies to enrich the business.
• Write back end Linux based batch processes or daemons in either PHP or PERL.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field of study.
2. Resourceful in solving technical problems
3. High degree of interest and capacity to learn new technologies and environments
4. At least 5 years PHP development experience working in all aspects of a LAMP environment.
5. Experience in object oriented PHP 5 a must.
6. Experience in creating PHPUnit tests
7. Proven development experience across multiple languages (Java, .NET, etc)
8. Experience in SOA
9. At least 5 years experience in some or all of the following: Ajax, Javascript, XML, Smarty Templating Engine, JSON, CSS, and HTML.
10. Experience in, and strong understanding of Model-View-Controller application design.
11. Strong experience integrating PHP with database layers.
12. Experience using Subversion source control system.
13. Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
14. Ability to produce well commented, clean code written to specific coding standards.
15. Enterprise PHP development experience. Knowledge of SOLR search engine a plus.
16. Strong Linux experience from shell scripting to performance analysis and startup scripts a plus.
17. Ability to pass LAMP competency testing during interview.

Will be given priority:

1. Experience in Agile Development.
2. Experience developing content management systems.
3. Experience in Unit Testing.
4. Nstein Web Content Management System experience.

Our client is currently implementing MDM and is going live with the Supplier piece today.  They will get ready To start implementing the Items and Customer piece now.  They are basically looking for a Consultant to come in And take a look and see if they are on the right track, make suggestions etc.  They would look for this person to supplement With MDM/PI and MDM Implementation tools.  This person would also assist with data cleansing, data mastering and tools Surrounding that.  This person would need to know complex models for the customer and items piece and the Portal interface Into MDM workflows.  PI is already implemented and up and running however they are not using PI’s routing so would love this

Person to get that configured within PI.   They think it would take about 3 days for the consultant to come in and see What they have done so far and then another 4 weeks for the Customer/Items implementation and perhaps more spot consulting from there on out.

Java Architect position with one of our  client in MD.

Duration: 6+ months  contract.

Location: Suitland, MD and / or Bethesda, MD

 Responsibilities:

As a senior technologist, the individual will work directly with customer project teams, and assume a key project delivery role with our staff. 

Day-to-day work will focus on mentoring project team members in the architecture, design, implementation, testing, and peer review of Service-Oriented business applications in an agile/continuous integration environment. This is a hands-on mentoring/support role, and requires the implementation of user-interface, application and service components using Java, JEE, and other technologies.

–        Support design and development of custom business solutions as part of an overall architecture modernization effort moving from legacy technologies to a service based architecture

–        Provide mentoring and technical support to project team members

–        Conduct and participate in code reviews, design reviews, and architecture reviews

–        Build and maintain technical documentation conforming to the company standards

–        Help customer project teams on application architecture, OO Analysis and Design, continuous integration, software configuration management, and agile practices

Required knowledge and experience with the following:

–         8-10+ years of demonstrated experience in architecture, design and implementation of large web based solutions using Java/JEE, preferably using the Oracle suite of technologies
