Software Engineer - Sr. Java/3D graphics Developer
Estimated 5-6 months of contract work.
St. louis, MO

This position will focus on drawing and display, not on application logic and data storage.
The qualified candidate will have experience with libraries that enhance the object-oriented nature of javascript such as Moo Tools; fluent in javascript; and have significant experience with AJAX/REST/JSON.
In addition, this person will be comfortable with custom drawing from primitives and familiar with basic information visualization topics and idioms.
Outstanding candidates will have experience with 3D drawing and matrix stack manipulations for nested drawing.
The selected applicant will be joining a dynamic interdisciplinary team composed of Scientists and Developers that will work on this high-impact, highly visible project.
The applicant will have the opportunity to explore new paradigms in graphical data representation and pilot cutting edge technologies such as CouchDB and elastic search.
We encourage applicants with a background in Art or Design.
Experience with the processing framework is highly desirable.
